Do you have a favorite flower? I just love sunflowers! All the different sizes, colors and the overwhelming feeling of happiness I get when I see them. It’s one of my favorite times to decorate and I start putting up sunflower decorations in August all the way to Thanksgiving. I love how they work for late summer and fall! Today is all about a Dollar Tree Sunflower Craft to create a home sign with a piece of wall decor.
If you love sunflowers like I do, then you will also want to make my sunflower farm sign, DIY Dollar Tree Sunflower Wreath, Sunflower House Sign, and a Sunflower Centerpiece. All of these are made with Dollar Tree items and are all under $7.

Let’s Create a Dollar Tree Sunflower Craft- Home Sign
I feel like these home signs are everywhere now with a decorative element for the o, but it’s super easy to make one and budget friendly too. I created mine in a 4×6 sentimental wall decor sign from Dollar Tree because it stands on its own. Perfect for home decor and can go anywhere in your home. I also chose this frame because the frame itself was already white and rustic, which is the look I’m going for.
Start by using a scraper to take off the raised lettering.
Then sand it down.
I had a piece of patterned vinyl from the Target dollar spot and knew it would be perfect for this project. The Dollar Tree also has peel and stick wallpaper that would work, fabric or patterned paper. Choose what would work best for you and your home decor.
Trace and cut your background material with scissors and apply it to the back ground piece of the sign.
I’m using my Cricut Maker 3 and black vinyl to create the letters of home. In Cricut Design Space™, I made a rectangle the size of the background and added a sunflower the size of the sunflower I will be using from Dollar Tree. This way the letters will be the correct size to go with the floral sunflower. Here is the Cricut Design Space Sunflower Home File.
Cut the letters and then adhere them like stickers to the background. Start with the H, glue the sunflower and then add the M, and E. Put the backing back into the frame so you can make sure the letters all show.
Place the background back into the frame and your Dollar Tree sunflower craft is all done. Really easy, super cute and perfect for your home. No one will think it’s from the Dollar Tree and the rustic looking frame ties it all together.
