For this wreath, I found everything at Joanns, but I’m sure you can find very similar items in other stores. I’m in love with buffalo check ribbon, but any wide ribbon will work for this wreath. For the ribbon wreath, I suggest choosing your ribbon first, then go pick out the florals or picks that match your ribbon.
Let’s Learn How to Make an Easy Christmas Ribbon Wreath
To get started on this easy wreath, hot glue the end of the ribbon to the wreath. Then just start wrapping the ribbon all the way around the wreath. Keep the ribbon tight as you wrap.
When you wrap the ribbon all the way around, cut the ribbon and hot glue the end to the wreath.
Then decide how you want to place the floral picks. I placed the small berries on top of the evergreen picks.
Next use the floral wire to attach the picks to the wreath, make sure you attach them tightly.
To cover the wire, I made a small bow with the same buffalo check ribbon. I didn’t want the ribbon to overpower the wreath. For this type of bow, cross the ribbon (like in the first picture), pinch it in the center, and wrap the floral wire around to create the bow. It’s really simple to do and is a classy simple bow.
I found these rustic jingle bells too, that I just couldn’t leave Joanns without. It was an impulse buy because I love bells in my Christmas decorations and they were so rustic, but I had no idea what I was going to do with them.
The jingle bell was perfect for the center of the bow, I used hot glue to attach the bell to the bow. This buffalo check ribbon wreath has a rustic farmhouse vibe and a classic Christmas look.
If you are looking for an easy DIY wreath to create, this one is it. If buffalo check is not you style, pick your favorite ribbon and create a Christmas ribbon wreath. Your front door will look amazing through the Christmas season.
