Washi tape is one of the coolest new crafting materials out there for kids and adults. I’m so glad it’s available so many places now because my kids love it. This summer we made popsicles with washi tape and the kids had so much fun. They ask all the time if they can use washi tape. So for fall fun we are creating fall leaves with washi tape.

Let’s Create Fall Leaves with Washi Tape
To get started have leaf shapes. I cut mine on my Cricut Maker using card stock, but you can trace and cut leaves, buy leaves already cut out or Foam Oak Leaves.
I like to put the washi tape in this container from the dollar tree and place it in the center of the table.
Then the kids create their leaves with washi tape. Some of tape is from the Dollar Tree, Target Dollar Spot, and Joanns. My favorite washi tape is the forest animal one, those animals are so cute and cuddly looking. It’s great practice for using scissors. The washi tape is very easy to cut and is great for beginners because it deosn’t require a lot of pressure.
My son totally gets fall and decorated all of his with the fall washi tape. He wants to make a fall garland with his leaves.
My daughter just used her favorite colors and she liked the acorn washi tape. Her favorite part is actually getting to use the scissors.
