Fall is coming, which brings the colors, the pumpkins, the crisp air, I could go on and on. If you follow my blog, you know I’m obsessed with fall. It’s my favorite time of the year to decorate and do so much more! For this months Craft and Create Cricut Challenge I’m sharing my fall porch sign. I’ve been looking at porch signs for awhile now on Pinterest (my other obsession) and it was time to create one.
The perfect saying for my fall porch sign is “Hello Fall.” This is made on a common board that my dad gave me. My husband affectionately calls this the billboard sign (haha) because it’s so big. Honestly it is one of the coolest signs I have made because everyone can see it. It just makes you smile.

Let’s Create a Fall Porch Sign
-Start by sanding the edges of your board, if it needs it
-Paint your board the color of your choice. I used Sherwin Williams Pennywise because I had a sample can of it and the color should be named fall (it’s the perfect shade)
-in Cricut Design Space™ I created the word Fall using the font Alphalicious. Hello and the scroll are from an SVG, I couldn’t find the original SVG I borrowed them from.
-on my Cricut Maker I cut the design in white Oracal 651
-Lay out the letters on your sign to figure out sizing and placement of the design
-For this project I ran out of transfer tape and tried clear contact paper, but I found this very difficult. I’m sure it works because I’ve seen many post that recommend it however I will keep using and buying Transfer Tape. I rubbed and rubbed and had a difficult time getting the vinyl to stick to the contact paper. It was the same when I tried to apply the vinyl to the sign.
-Transfer the design to the board and then wrap twine between Hello and Fall. Wrap it around several times and then tie a bow
The Fall Porch Sign is welcoming and inviting. I can’t wait for Fall to arrive to start decorating with hay bales, scarecrows, and pumpkins.
