Let’s talk creative notebook covers! Have you thought about different ways that you can decorate a notebook with your Cricut? It’s perfect for your business, school, or as an agenda. The Pinterest Challenge was a perfect time to give it a try.
It’s time for the July Pin Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month’s challenge is a free month to create any pin that you want. The pin I chose was this pin.
Vinyl, iron on, they’ve all been used to create a DIY notebook cover with Cricut, but I’m going to use something new. The Cricut Joy Self Adhesive Paper. is perfect for a homemade notebook cover. You can be as creative as you want in Cricut Design Space and it’s mess free and requires no glue, heat press or transfer paper to add it to the notebook. Really fast and easy right?
Don’t get me wrong, I love vinyl and iron on, but the new Cricut Joy adhesive backed paper definitely makes some paper crafts a lot easier and it requires less supplies. The adhesive paper was easy to apply and I did have to move the cover piece a little and I had no problems doing that.

Let’s Create a Fast and Easy Notebook Cover with Cricut Joy
For this notebook, I’m going to be using it for my new adventure. I’m really excited to share that I’m now a Close To My Heart Consultant. My passion of scrapbooking and my Cricut projects motivated me to share these wonderful products with you. If you need any paper, scrapbooking kits, digital images, tools and so much more, head to my shop now.
In Cricut Design Space™, create your notebook cover design. You can use images, shapes, or a quote (just to name a few) to decorate your notebook cover.
For my creative notebook, I’m using CTMH on the side with a heart at the top and bottom. The majority of the notebook is covered with a pretty floral sheet that I just cut using the lines on the back of the paper and added to the notebook.
I sized my cover design and cut it with my Cricut Joy. Here is a full tutorial for cutting Cricut Joy Adhesive Paper. You must use the Cricut Joy light grip mat and the back of the paper goes on the mat with the design facing towards you.
Then peel and stick your design to your notebook. Remember I said fast and easy? It sure is.
Now you have a one of a kind notebook cover with cool paper that was easily made in under 15 minutes (I’m not including the time to design it because well that could be awhile).
The purples, pinks, yellows, blues just speak to me and are so vibrant, pretty and lively.
