I’ve always loved themed treats, themed foods, themed decorations and Halloween is one of my favorite times to do this. As a mom, I love making stuff for my kids to pass out at school, but I’ve always had to send the treats in the packaging. No cute candy ideas can be used. I was so bummed whenever I saw cute candy ideas knowing I could never use them. Then it happened! Finally I could make a cute cat Halloween lollipop holder with Cricut for my daughters Girl Scout Halloween party. I was so excited! 

I will be sharing the Design Space file to create this adorable cat lollipop holder, but I also want to show you how to create them too. This way you can create them for any holiday or occasion. Now this Cricut lollipop holder uses the flat lollipops (not the round ones). I think if you make the center piece thicker, that it would work for round lollipops too, but I haven’t tried it. My daughter can’t have any artificial dyes/colors so all the lollipops eaten in my house are the flat ones.

Materials for Cricut Lollipop Holder

Cricut Machine- Maker 3 /Maker/Air 2/Cricut Joy

Black Cardstock 

White cardstock 

Orange cardstock/vinyl 

Glue 

Lollipops 

The basic steps of this tutorial can be used for any kind of lollipop holder. Just choose an image and follow the same steps. 

 
 

How To Make a Halloween Lollipop Holder with Cricut

Choosing the Image for the Lollipop Holder

The first step of any project is to choose your image. For this cat Halloween lollipop holder, I’m using the black cat favor bag from the Creepy Critters Image Set #M3D27E8. Insert the black cat favor and ungroup the image. 

All you will need for the lollipop holder is the square black cat head, nose and the white cat online. Delete all the other pieces. 

Creating the Cat Lollipop Template with Cricut 

Hide the nose and the white piece by clicking the eye in the layers panel because you don’t need them until the end. 

Make the cat head 4.205 by 3.592. 

Insert a rectangle and unlock the shape to make it 1.584 by .667. Add a small circle to the center of the rectangle. Highlight the rectangle and circle and click slice. Then delete the unwanted pieces. This will be the hole to put the lollipop stick through. 

Duplicate the cat face and spin it around so the bottom of the cat (the straight line) lines up to the small rectangle with the hole in it.

Make sure both heads of the cat are touching the rectangle. Highlight everything and click weld. Now the you have the lollipop holder. 

Add in the nose and the white cat face. Size them to fit the cat face and you only create the cat face on the front of the lollipop holder. Make the white cat face a little bit smaller than the black cat face so no white shows. 

 Halloween Cat Lollipop Holder with Cricut 

Now you have the cutest cat Halloween Lollipop holder to hand out! It’s super easy to create and lots of fun to make. This can be created with any of the Cricut machines (even the Joy)! Follow the instructions to cut the cardstock and start assembling them.
