It’s beginning to look a lot like a buffalo check Christmas here and I love it! I found this flannel buffalo check plaid ribbon at Joanns and knew I had to have it. The flannel ribbon is comfy, cozy and perfect for a Buffalo Check Christmas Wreath.
I used a part of this ribbon for my Easy Christmas Ribbon Wreath and I ran out when I was about half done. Then I was pretty much stalking Joanns website for when the ribbon came in stock because the store was completely out. Finally I found it and was able to finish my wreath. If you want Buffalo Check ribbon, get it now (it’s going fast).

Let’s Create a DIY Buffalo Check Christmas Wreath
To start your wreath, hot glue the ribbon around the wreath form (like in the picture above).
Then you have to choose how big you want the size of the loops to be. My loops are about 3-4 inches long. I don’t measure them, I just eye them and when I like the look of the loops, I go with it. That’s the best thing about homemade and being creative.
Make your loop, then make the next loop the same size and do that again for the third loop. Push the loops over and start again at the top making the loops.
Personally I like my wreaths to be full and I did four sets of loops for each section of the wreath. I ran out of the ribbon, when I was about halfway done. Once I finally found more of this soft and cozy flannel ribbon, I finished up the wreath.
At first I wasn’t going to put the ribbon under the mason jar, but I decided I wanted to because it will look better with the ribbon coming out the sides.
For the mason jar, I painted the jar white and then I created the Merry Christmas and the sleigh with my Cricut Maker. When I painted the jar, I used my new paint brush set and I love them. I traced and cut the vinyl for the lid of the jar. The buffalo check vinyl is from Hobby Lobby, but that is going fast too.
To attach the mason jar to the wreath, I hot glued ribbon to the back of the sign and then tied the ribbon to the wreath. Whenever you add wood signs to your wreaths, always try to use lighter wood decor because heavy wood signs or letters are hard to keep attached because of the weight.
