In our house, my kids love ocean animals. They love to read about ocean animals and watch documentaries (honestly I could fall asleep during them and my kids are fascinated). My son wants to be a marine biologist when he grows up. Since summer vacation just started, we have been discussing what to do and make. The kids love paper plate crafts (who doesn’t) so we made a jellyfish paper plate craft. This jellyfish craft is perfect for kids of all ages and super easy.

Let’s Create a Jellyfish Paper Plate Craft
To make the jellyfish I cut a wavy line along the middle of the paper plate and now you have two jellyfish. The kids picked a color to paint it and they got started. These paint trays from the Dollar Tree are the best. We used Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint .
It took a couple hours to dry which was hard for the kids to wait. Then I hot glued the googly eyes, but if you don’t have hot glue, use anything you have. I hole punched the holes along the bottom to add the pipe cleaners. The kids had fun putting the pipe cleaners into the holes and bend them over and give them a twist. At first I didn’t do this and the jellyfish lost a tentacle when he was stinging.
The jellyfish paper plate craft is so cute and the kids can’t wait to hang them in their rooms. This is great for ocean animals, the letter j, or a fun sea theme. What’s your child’s favorite type of animals?
