Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I couldn’t wait to use my new Christmas present to make Valentine’s Cards. I used my Cricut Cuttlebug and I embossed almost all of my cards with a heart design. I just can’t believe I haven’t bought this sooner. I love it. Now my mind is going in a million directions of all the embossing folders that are out there waiting for me to buy.
Let’s Create some Valentine’s Day Cards with the Cricut
Now for the Valentine’s Day cards! I made all of the cards on 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches cards because that matched the size of my embossing folder that I found with hearts on it. I bought a package of 10 cards and envelopes at Michaels. It’s amazing to me every time how much money I save making my own cards. All of these cards are made with my Cricut Explore and all the images are available in Design Space. I have the monthly subscription of Cricut Access and all of these were available except for the Hugs and Kisses on the teddy bear card, I think the hugs & kisses was about 89 cents because you get a 10% discount if you have Cricut Access. It’s a wonderful subscription to have.
Mason Jar Card
I wanted to make a card for the Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and teachers that my children would also be able to help me with because our family all love cards made by the little munchkins and I’m sure the teachers do to. So I did a mason jar on plain brown paper and I bought foam conversation heart stickers from Target for the munchkins to decorate the mason jars with. I added a Happy Valentine’s Day tag and of course embossed the paper behind the mason jar. I matched the background paper to the colors of the foam conversation hearts.
Here is the final card! I think it’s adorable. I love mason jars!
Baby Valentine’s Day Card
The baby card is for my 2 year old niece who loves her baby dolls more then anything. She is never without one. So I did a baby on the card and added a heart for the baby to hold of course in heart paper. Her card is the only non embossed card because I liked the way the polka dots matched the heart paper.
Teddy Bear Valentine’s Day Card
For my son I did a teddy bear card holding a heart because he loves his stuffed animals, blue bear and brown bear. Those bears are with him wherever he goes.
Heart Topiary Valentine’s Day Card
For my daughter I made her a heart topiary card because it was adorable just like her. I made 3 hearts, one small, one medium, and one large. Then I made a skinny rectangle to use as the pole and added the flower pot. On the flower pot I put on the love postage stamp.
I Love you a Latte Valentine’s Day Card
For my husband I found the perfect card to make when I saw the oval that said Love You a Latte. It’s a joke in our house that every time I go to Target I get a latte at Starbucks and he always teases me about it. So I added a coffee mug, that looks a lot like Starbucks and put a heart on it. I used a rectangle to go down the center of the card. It’s perfect and I made the background color black which is his favorite color.
I always look forward to seeing everyone’s smile when they open my cards, it brings me such joy and happiness. I hope you have a sweet, fun, and delightful Valentine’s Day! Happy Card Making!
