Once again the Dollar Tree saved me. I went in for something else (this is how my story always starts) and found rose petals in pink and red. The petals are a perfect base for the Valentine’s Day sensory play.
But did you know you can order online at Dollar Tree and pick it up at the store? How easy is that!
This sensory activity will have different kinds of hearts made out of different materials. Just remember to choose hearts that are safe for the age of your child. I’m going to give each of the munchkins a Valentine’s Day box to put their hearts (aka treasures) in.

The munchkins love exploring in the flower petals and finding the hearts. The Valentine’s Day boxes are a huge hit to put their treasures in. I love watching them play, learn, and explore in their new sensory bin. They have been playing in it all day.
