It’s time again to not only pin, but to create! The February Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop is here, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month, I chose to create a Easy Vintage Step Stool by Ana White.
Let’s Create a Vintage Step Stool for Kids
Our daughter does not have a stool and the Pinterest challenge was perfect to make her one. She requested a pink stool with horses (unicorns are included too). The Vintage Step Stool is perfect for a little girl with the pretty curve in the stool and I love the classic look of the stool. It just says “fit for a princess.”
My husband hasn’t built anything since before Christmas and was driven to make something. He does all the cutting, building, sanding, and putting. He said the design was easy to follow and Ana White plans are the best! Anytime we go to build anything we always search Ana White first. We also made this Dress Up Storage for our daughters bedroom. An upcoming project will be a loft bed so stay tuned.
To decorate the stool, I painted it with Sherwin Williams Memorable Rose, that compliments her bedroom wall color. For the decor on the stool, I was undecided and struggling with an idea. Then I saw her Magical Unicorn Valentines and it hit me. Just recreate her Valentine that she loves onto her stool. Now she has a magical stool!
In Cricut Design Space™ I made the design bigger and cut everything in permanent vinyl . Then I carefully layered the vinyl and added the hearts.
It came out great and our daughter is in love with it.
She can also use it in the kitchen too.
